What is Kingdom Heart Co.?

Yo! My name is Arden Middaugh and I am here to tell you the heart and mission behind Kingdom Heart Co.

Last year I found a quote from Angela Thomas that reads, "When a woman has a kingdom heart, she has an active understanding of what matters most to the heart of God. She lives in the balance of passion and contentment. She learns to love well, give without regard to self, and forgive without hesitation. The woman with a kingdom heart may have a duffel bag full of possessions or enough treasures to fill a mansion, but she has learned to hold them with an open hand. Hold everything with open hands. I don’t think we are ever allowed to grab hold of anything or anyone as though they matter more than the kingdom of heaven. When you hold relationships with open hands, then people come in and out of your life as gifts of grace to be cherished and enjoyed, not objects to be owned and manipulated. And then when you hold your dreams with open hands, you get to watch God resurrect what seemed dead and multiply what seemed small."

This quote rocked my world. This was the woman I wanted to be. This was what I wanted my life to look like. I desired a Kingdom Heart.

When creating this community, we had to figure out our desire for everyone in it. I immediately thought of this quote. Creating a community that has an active understanding of what matters most to the heart of God. A community that lives with passion and excitement yet contentment in what they have. A community that values the treasures of Heaven rather then of this world. A community that holds everything and everyone with open hands, letting God take control and guide their steps. We want to cultivate a community that has a Kingdom Heart.

Through this community, we are going to be raw, authentic, and vulnerable. We are gonna talk about the hard. We are gonna talk about the pain and heartbreak of this world. We are going to talk about your story and the things you've been through and experienced. We are going to talk about the family and friends you've lost, the broken relationships you've had, the abuse you've experienced in your home, the substances you've been using to numb your pain, etc. Why? Shouldn't these things be hidden? Shouldn't they not be talked about in a Christian setting? The answer is NO. You NEED a community fighting for you, processing with you, and pushing you closer to Christ.

Hill City Church in Springfield has taught us a lot about this type of culture. They've taught us that if the Gospel is true, we have nothing to hide. If we truly believe that Jesus died on the cross for our sins, and was raised to life 3 days later, then we have nothing to hide. His sacrifice set us free. Everything we've done, and everything we are going to do has been forgiven. The power of His blood has saved us. And from that, He is now calling us into community. A community that embraces your story, takes your hand, and walks with you through the storms. But also, to celebrate the good. To point out the goodness of God in your life!

That is what we are all about! We are here for YOU. Come as you are. Don't try to clean yourself up or try to create a "perfect" image of yourself before joining a group or getting involved. Bring your pain, your struggles, and your story. Be real. Be honest. Be genuine.

We are here to love, not judge. This is a safe place and I am beyond excited for you to be apart of the Kingdom Heart Co. family.

We are all so glad you're here. Genuinely.
